Hard to believe it’s been a year already. So much has changed for each of us since the first post went out on April 4, 2013.
We started out as a band of five, though one never posted and fell by the wayside. We’ve all had an incredibly busy twelve months personally and professionally. Kirsten published twice and became an editor, Amanda’s short story and the anthology it is part of has a pub date and she’ll be on a panel. My debut should be out this summer. Michelle in in the home stretch on her Master’s thesis and stays busy both writing and editing.
When I think about the last year with Kirsten, Amanda, and Michelle, I know myself to be blessed with good friends, good writers, and good editors. I am so proud of how everyone has developed and grown and moved forward in writing careers since we started The Sarcastic Muse.
Highlights from the past year for me were launching the writing prompts, crazy fun Skype sessions writing to those prompts, alpha reading for each other, and watching our blog baby take off. s. We’ve built a little community here with fantastic comments and a round of blogs we love.
Though we are all busy with our personal author/writer sites and projects, the four of us are still here and still writing with our sarcastic muses. We’ve always been in it for the long haul, and we celebrated by getting the domain last week.
I’m looking forward to the next twelve months and beyond with these ladies, the wonderful friends we’ve made, and The Sarcastic Muse.
In light of our commitments, we won’t be posting a video every Monday, though we are reserving the day for when we run across a video to share. Saturdays are open and we are now considering guest posts.
Collectively, we write romance, erotica, horror, fantasy, literary, and young adult. If there is anything you’d like to see us cover or discuss, please let us know in the comments.

Congratulations, ladies. One year, how exciting. I’m curious — how’d this fantastic foursome meet?
Three of us met in a local writers group (we all lived in TN at the time). Michelle joined us a few months before we started the Muse. 🙂 Now we can say we are all over the world (and the U.S.) but still stay in touch almost daily. 🙂
