This quote reminds how I got to hear Michael Blake (author of Dances with Wolves; he wrote the screenplay, too) speak a few years ago. He was a nobody in Hollywood at the time and everyone told him, “Nobody wants to see another cowboys-and-Indians movie).”
His heart made him write that book and that screenplay. In 1991, DWW won seven academy awards, including Best Picture.
